November!

I feel like so much has happened in the past few weeks, heck, a lot has happened in the past few days!  Long story short, if you (or your kids) put the magnetic power cord to your computer in your mouth, over and over again, the tiny prongs inside will begin to... corrode... or something, and won't work anymore.  You will probably  jimmy rig it as long as possible in order to avoid spending $80 on a new cord.  Long story long, my computer stopped charging sometime last week, so I found a great deal on a knock off brand power cord, three days of shipping and wa-lah!  My computer is up and running again!

And now, I must give a shout out to the iphone.  Literally, the greatest gadget I have ever owned.  I could go on and on and on but one of my favorite things about the iphone (oh, and a mac) it that they sync.  Meaning even when my computer is permanently powered down, I still have my itunes, iphoto, all contacts in my address book (yes, I was able to complete my Christmas cards by getting all addresses off my phone!), email (of course) and most importantly, Safari.  I have well over one hundred bookmarked websites for recipes, shopping, blogs, news, shopping,  BLOGS, and random things I've come across, all saved and easily accessible on my phone, sigh :)  But then there are the apps, like Pandora, Facebook, Twitter, Bible, workout routines, QVC... what?  Anyway, as much time as I spend on my computer, I didn't feel like I missed a beat, well except for writing here : )  I obviously could have posted blogs from my phone, but I have a tendency to ramble (sorry) and post very, how you say, picture heavy entries : )

So here are a 'few' pictures from the past few weeks:

This was less than four weeks ago.  Zoo.  Shorts.  Temps in the upper 70's.  Amazing!

Flamingos!  Yes, we are still obsessed.

This was at the zoo when I was a kid.  I loved it, and hated it.  Why could I not jump further than a flea?  Why??

 Beautiful day!

oh, and the pj's still fit.  How they haven't unravelled or disintegrated by now is beyond me.
AND she's learning to wink ; ) ; )

and model, haha!
I made cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving.  I was delicious.
Colby is 'smiling' on command!  Chomp, chomp!

We hosted Thanksgiving with Stephen's family at our house.

And set up a BIG table!
And it was pretty.
I also went shopping from 10pm to 3am Thanksgiving night.  Seriously fun stuff.  Seriously cray-cray.

And then we did this:
 And this:
 In this!
Isn't it a beautiful house??  Yeah, I could live there ; )  Stephen's parents (my in-laws) built the house in Breckenridge and after trying to sell, they just decided to rent it out as a vacation home and it sounds like it will be occupied quite often.  Good for them, sad for us ; )  With the quick decision came the necessity to furnish the house.  Stephen's mom has been shopping like a mad woman the past two weeks and Stephen took a couple loads of furniture up to the house.  On Sunday the kids and I got to go up and help Stephen with some finishing touches.  It was fun to play house for a couple days and see the house finally come to completion.  We have a trip planned in February that I am so excited about, but also hope to be able to go up before then.

Whew!  There you have it!  Here's crossing our fingers the power cord stays dry, right??
