Try this!

I might be a self proclaimed unofficial expert on the products at Origins.  Since I was born with the worst skin on earth I've tried a lot of different things to try to make it better or even just bearable... like, a lot, like, over the past 10 years.  During my research I've found that Origins offers some really great products, they are made with high quality ingredients and without harsh chemicals.  Blah blah blah... so anyway, I was in the other day and was given a sample of their new moisturizer VitaZing, it's a moisturizer with SPF 15 AND it's 'tinted' (in a technical way... seriously!  Check it out).  I didn't think it would work for me and my 'bad skin' (read: it wouldn't have enough coverage) but it did, it feels great (not a thick cream, not greasy or SPF-y) and it has antioxidants (to help *ahem* aging skin).  Yes, I would say my skin looked energized and I instantly saw more radiant skin ; )  I tried it on a day that I wasn't going anywhere important and thought it would be perfect to wear on days I didn't want to wear makeup or even to the gym, but after adding my regular bronzer and a touch of blush, it looked better than my regular makeup!
Try it!

No really, you can go into Origins and get a free sample of anything in the store and they always last 3 or more uses, sometimes more, depending what you get.

*Note that I am in Colorado where is it drier than most places, this may not work in August in Florida... but it might, because you don't have to wear makeup over it ; )

Can you tell I'm really excited about this?  I can't wait to actually get the full size... do you hear me, Origins?  Hello?

What Day is it?

Happy last day of October!  Okay, maybe not, but almost!

Some days MOST days I'm not thinking about what day it is, I am usually thinking about what time it is:  breakfast time, what time did so and so wake up so I can judge what time nap time will be, lunch time, library story time, play date time, nap #2 time, when can I get that load of laundry into the dryer time, dinner time, bed time!

Monday-Saturday look all about the same to me.  But I'm not living in high functioning comatose state!  No!  I know it's Monday when we get almost nothing done during the day, I know it's Tuesday as soon as I hear the mowers show up to our neighbors house, I know it's Wednesday (hey, that's today!) the second I hear the dumpsters being emptied at the bank across the street.  Thursday is our trash day.  I know it's Friday when everyone and their mom tell me it's Friday on Facebook and Saturday happens when Stephen doesn't leave for work until 8 or 9, instead of 6 or 7 something (what do I know... I'm still sleeping!).

I know the day is fast approaching that school life will take over, and soccer practices will be on Tuesday, swim lessons on Wednesday, games and birthday parties will take over our weekends and I'll remember why everyone hates Monday (at least that's what Facebook tells me).

Until then I'm good with going to the grocery store, park, library and Chick-fil-A as we please, whatever day it may be... well except for CFA on Sunday ; )

I also find time to take pictures of 'Screen Face'

enjoy ; )

Happy First Day of Christmas Music!

October 1st is officially the first day for listening to Christmas music and really kicks off the holiday season.

What?  Christmas is only 86 days away!  It started as a tradition in college with my roomies and ever since, every October 1st we all listen to Christmas music!  In years' past, Becca has sent out Christmas mix CD's and this year, Shelby sent us SNOW, straight from the Minnesota state fair!

The package came in the mail last night and I told Kyla we had to wait until today, it would be like Christmas morning!  So this morning she opened it...

Yes, you read that right.
"Just Add Water"
"Expands 100 Times of Original Size"...
"Reuse it Again & Again"

Of course we had to try out the snow... in a contained area...

And there you have it!

Of course I've been listening to Christmas music throughout the day... and even right now, thank you Pandora Holiday Radio 1 and 2 and the Frosty the Snowman Station.  I may, or may not put the music away until we get a little closer to Thanksgiving... for those of you having heart palpitations...
